Birdie time

This is the newest course in St. George. Sand Hollow is breathtaking! The grass is like carpet and the red rock is spectacular. The greens are impossible. The bunkers are are like a vacation because it takes a week to get out of them. The 18 holes, priceless! (And Annette birdied the eighth hole and drove into the foursome in front of us on number seven, the guys she almost hit were very impressed with her 'skills' - Joel)

Don't park on the driveway in a storm

Note to self...don't park on the driveway at the cabin when it is raining/snowing! You actually have to leave the trucks there and hitch-hike home.

Switzerland is one beautiful country!

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Switzerland. We went for the Vision Retreat (a Noni event). The first half of the trip we spent in Montreux for the event. That is a beautiful city on Lake Geneva. On sunday we took a train to stay in the city of Zermatt, where the Matterhorn is. That was an awesome sight. We took a small train up on the mountain to get a closer look at the Matterhorn. The next day we took the Glacier Express, a 5 and a half hour train ride through unbelievable mountains to the city of Chur where we got off, took a taxi to the car rental place and rented a car and drove to the city of Sargans, where our hotel for the night was. On the way we saw to signs to Heidi town so we stopped there and looked around for a bit but the hike up to Heidi's house was 2 hours up the mountain so we got in the car and drove on.
The next morning we left Sargans and drove through a small country called Lichtenstein. It looked just like Switzerland, we did it just to see what it looked like and so we could say we have been to Lichtenstein. We continued on to Lucerne. This is a bigger city. There we went on a walking tour that took most of the afternoon. It was so interesting there was a lot to see in Lucerne. Lots of beautiful old bridges, art work, fountains and churches. The next day we drove on to Lauterbrunnen. We parked the car and went on a train that took us up the mountain to Wengen. This is a very cute little town where we got on a gondola that took us up higher on the mountain so that we were close to see the Jungfrau, the Eiger and the Monch mountains. Unbelievable!
That night we stayed in Beatenburg in a hotel with a beautiful view of the Thuner Lake. The next day we drove through Zollikofen to see the LDS Temple there, and then on to Geneva to spend our last night in Switzerland.
I loved every part of this country. The scenery, the people, the food, the hotels. Everything we saw and did was amazing. I would definitely recommend that everyone put this on your "must see list" of places to visit.
