Sights of Tokyo

Our trip to Tokyo

We were able to go to Tokyo the first week in May. That is my first visit there and so it was all very exciting and interesting. We flew to San Fransisco and then had an eleven hour flight to Tokyo/Narita. We were able to go bussiness class so it was very comfortable and went by pretty fast. We stayed in an area called Odieba which is right on Tokyo harbor. We were on the 28th floor (top floor) and so we had a fabulous view of the harbor and the city beyond. It was also very exciting in the 6.8 earthquake we had at 1:40 am one morning. That building was rocking and rolling!

Joel went for the Noni convention for Japan and I just went to tag along. The convention was a big success. I did a lot of shopping while he was busy with meetings and we got to go do some sightseeing. They have a tall TV tower like the Eiffel Tower. We went up the tower and saw tall buildings as far as the eye could see.

They also have a statue of liberty like ours in NYC, just not as tall. That was right out of our window at the hotel. We had some really good food. The people were very polite and courteous. The language is very difficult! One evening they took us with the top 450 distributors on a dinner cruise on the harbor. That was very lovely with all of the lights of the city.

All in all it was a very wonderful experience. I enjoyed the culture very much, and loved everything we did. It's always great to be home.
